About SKMA

South Kolkata Medical Association(SKMA) is a new branch of IMA, working in the southern part of the city. The branch was inaugurated on 30th June,2013. The main purpose of the branch was to involve those doctors residing or practicing in the South Kolkata and not the members of IMA. During the short period of time the branch has 62 life members. Maximum numbers are fresh graduates but there are few seniors who have also joined IMA through this branch. The branch is registered with West Bengal Society Registration Act.
